Serving our community
Who We Are
The Pastoral Care Institute of Atlanta (PCIA) is a faith-based mental health and wellness organization dedicated to providing compassionate counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in the greater Atlanta area.
Our goal is to help uncover your true potential and lead a life that is satisfying in relationships that are fulfilling. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may hold you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families. We will empower community leaders to develop and strengthen their wisdom through self-awareness. We exist for the purpose of recovering and the healing of the soul.
Our Vision
Our vision is to have a healthy community dedicated to the wholeness of life. To care for and respect every person so they can fully achieve greatness in the goodness of their ambitions.
What Guides Us
We approach every individual with empathy, dignity, and unconditional positive regard — meeting people exactly where they are.
Rooted in Atlanta, we serve families, congregations, and communities worldwide with culturally sensitive care that honors diverse backgrounds.
Our clinicians and chaplains are trained to the highest professional standards, blending evidence-based practice with pastoral wisdom.
We believe healing is holistic — addressing the mind, body, and spirit together to restore lasting wellness and purpose.
Our Journey
PCIA was founded with a singular mission: to bridge the gap between mental health care and pastoral ministry worldwide.
We expanded our counseling services to include grief support, marriage and family therapy, and individual counseling for adults and adolescents.
PCIA launched its accredited CPE program, training chaplains and ministry professionals to provide compassionate care in hospitals, hospices, and congregations.
We began hosting our annual Mental Health and Wellness Conference, bringing together SAMHSA professionals, counselors, and community leaders.
Today PCIA continues to grow, offering a full spectrum of pastoral counseling services and training programs that impact lives worldwide.
"We exist for the purpose of recovering and the healing of the soul."
